  ABOUT BULGARIA

Bulgaria quickly became very popular with foreign property buyers and the reasons for the huge interest are obvious.

  • Located in Central Europe the country is an undiscovered hidden gem , a land of natural beauty -long sandy beaches along the Black Sea, beautiful alpine mountain ranges and green hills, sunlit vine-yards and rose valleys, magnificent health spas, riversides, and natural springs… It is a country with 13 centuries long history of culture, art and scientific prowess.
  • The climate of Bulgaria is one of the country's best features - a combination of mild and snowy winter that attracts lots of tourists who love winter sports in the Bulgarian winter resorts and warm, sunny spring and summer which make the green Bulgarian mountains and the Black Sea summer resorts and beaches glorious places to be. The seawater is clean, not tidal and even warmer than the Mediterranean. in summertime. The two main coastal towns are Borgas and Varna. Both with their own airport they are rapidly becoming popular holiday destinations together with the nearby main resorts Golden Sands, Sunny Beach and Albena. These are ideal locations for property investment considering the growing demand for summer lettings. If however you are looking for a property away from the sea cost, then perhaps a countryside house in one of the different beautiful locations we could recommend will be the right choice.
  • The food, similar to the one cocked in the Mediterranean is tasty, rich in flavour and healthy -plenty of fresh vegetables, prepared in different salads, roasted or stewed with meat . Soups are also a very important element in the Bulgarian menu. The food costs a fraction of what one would have to pay in France or Spain for example. However, the most important thing which makes the country so attractive is the warm and friendly attitude of the Bulgarian people who are highly educated, intelligent and non-aggressive. Most Bulgarians learn English at school.
  • Bulgaria is a NATO and EU member.
  • Property is still highly undervalued compared to the rest of the EU and the prices will inevitably rise as the wages in the country increase and the standard of living to great extent catches up with that in the rest of the EU.
